William Ken Hatch: the Asphalt Vagabond

William "Ken" Hatch is living the life we all dream about: foot loose and fancy free. To give you a taste of his adventures and his jewelry we pick it up in his own words:
This blog is about the travels and adventures of the Asphalt Vagabond, Me. I am working toward living the full time RV lifestyle, and I have a plan, drive north when it gets hot and drive south when it gets cold. Mostly I will tell of the adventures that I will encounter on the way, Like searching for relics in old civil war battle grounds, panning for gold in some quiet stream, hunting nuggets in Arizona, digging for gem stones or just meeting people and making friends.
I have been cutting a bunch of cabochons in preparation for the show. I hope to have at least 300 cabs for the show. Some I have already photographed and put on my web site http://www.wilstones.com/ or the pictures on http://www.Magicalsilverjewelry.com.
The weather has been nice up here. I spend my time reading, relaxing, cutting cabs, making more wire inventory and cutting grass. My aunt and her children have around 40 acres of land between them and I have been running the bush hog in the mornings and the evenings (to keep out of the heat of the day) for the past week, I still have some more to cut but I will take a break for awhile. Last week I was browsing through “Craig’s List” looking for another display tent and I found a good used one I liked in Atlanta and picked it up at a good price. I will take a photo of it when I practice setting it up and post it in the blog. We wish Ken safe travels and will check in with him periodically. Enjoy the cooler weather farther up North!

Who are the Artists involved in Magical Silver Jewelry

Simone's love developed early, growing up in the Caribbean, so closely immersed in the environment of the sea and sun has led to the impression of nature in my work. The myriad of textures found on the beach; in the rocks, shells, drift wood and sand are only a few of the natural objects that I draw my work from.

Unpolished and raw, rustic and earthy is how I envision my creations. With the world becoming more aware of being Eco-friendly and going Green there has been a trend in jewelry towards natural unpolished stones. Volcanic depths have spewed their best of geodes filled with sparkling druzies, raw emeralds and aquamarines strung like beads without the expected setting of gold. Ammonites, fossilized specimens bursting with vibrant opalescent color, and petrified wood, luminous with forms of light and dark.

You can view Simone's work at www.magicalsilverjewelry.com. Jewelry Collections displayed include her "Dreamers Driftwood" and "Urchin Peacock" necklaces, bracelets and earrings. Wonderfully unique custom and wearable and beautiful! Check her out!
